Touch typing, a fundamental skill that can change lives, school and university experiences.

Typing with 2 fingers uses the conscious mind, but when you touch type with all digits, the skill is transferred to the subconscious – leaving the mind free for creative writing and the task at hand.

Through innovation, KAZ aim to empower all individuals – mainstream, neurodivergent, hearing and visually impaired.

It’s more than just typing
KAZ Touch Typing software boosts productivity, supports literacy skills, encourages independent learning, and builds confidence – all while helping to reduce anxiety.
Let this powerful, subconscious skill empower and unlock your full potential.

Product Description

KAZ’s accessible touch-typing software accommodates all learners. It caters to mainstream, neurodivergent, hearing and the visually impaired. Learning to touch type can transform the education outcome of learners with differences that impact the writing process, such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, ASD, ADHD, and Tourette’s.

The course’s multi-sensory approach and specialised features teach typing skills quickly and easily, promoting literary skills such as spelling, planning, composing, processing, proofreading and editing.

KAZ’s Specialised Features

The course’s specialised features were developed with advice and guidance from the British Dyslexia Research Trust and the Thomas Pocklington Trust (Charity for the visually impaired). Their aim is to help overcome barriers to learning.

  • Customisable ‘Preference Screen’ addressing visual disturbances by offering learners a selection of preferences:

– Filter screens minimise blurring, steadying letter movement and addressing white screen glare.

– Selection of font colours for contrast.

– Dyslexia-friendly typefaces for ease of reading.

– Selection of font sizes to prevent the crowding and fusing of letters.

– Customised feature for learners with Meares Irlen Syndrome.

  • Unique and patented teaching method specifically designed to support learners who struggle with concentration and time management. Structured and focused, it draws on the proven principles of the Pomodoro Technique – an effective time management strategy that promotes productivity by encouraging short, focused bursts of work followed by regular, brief breaks.

  • Challenge modules, designed as a quick revision of keys and aid memory recall, specifically developed for learners with short memory.

  • Banks of curriculum year-based vocabulary (schools’ edition), allowing learners to learn spelling and typing simultaneously.

  • Text version for the hearing-impaired.

  • VI option for the visually impaired includes a ‘dark mode’ setting, which can be further adjusted, and is compatible with JAWS and most other screen readers, SuperNova and other magnification software and hardware, and with captioning software. It includes ‘speaking keys’, spoken instruction with auditory feedback on problematic keys, an in-zoom feature, and the ability to enlarge the screen to the size of the user’s monitor.
