Celebrating 25 years
EduWeek 2016 has come and gone in the blink of an eye for the Edit Microsystems team! The 2 day event which was held on 29 and 30th of June provided a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with old friends and meet new ones; to showcase inclusive education in action and to share our 25 year celebrations with everyone who attended the show.
An Award Winning Evening
Edit Microsystems was honoured to be the recipient of 2 awards at the EduWeek Awards Gala. We received the Supplier of the Year for Special Needs as well as the Community Award. The Community Award was presented to Edit Microsystems for the contribution made towards the blind and low vision community in South Africa. The particular project recognised was the eBraille project which is using life changing technology to revolutionize the quality of teaching and learning.
Edit Microsystems would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our clients and suppliers for all your loyal support over the last 25 years. Accolades such as the ones received at EduWeek would not be possible without your invaluable contribution! We look forward to our continued friendship with each and every client and supplier over the next 25 years.
Inclusive Classroom of the Future
At EduWeek 2016 Edit Microsystems undertook to exhibit the ‘Inclusive Classroom of the Future’ where no learner, regardless of ability is left behind. We showcased a wide variety of assistive devices from eye gaze technology to alternative communication software to blind and low vision technology to dyslexia and dyscalculia support.
