Award Winning Company for 25 Years
We Are All About Solutions
The company is devoted to finding alternative and state-of-the-art technical solutions to improve curriculum delivery in educational institutions and effective communication in business with a focus on high-speed functional connectivity and on-going support and professional development to its clients.
Editmicro has a proud tradition of innovation and has always been on the cutting edge of technological advances in education and is currently exploring the use of mobile devices to a greater degree in South African schools.
Many of our products are designed to enhance interactivity in a classroom or lecture theatre. A common interactive Solution would consist of an interactive whiteboard, a data projector, a laptop or pc, software and on-going appropriate training.
The challenge of affordability has always been the main problem for the majority of schools in bridging the digital divide, whilst the challenge of sustainable technological solutions has been an even greater one. Editmicro has responded to this on-going challenge in various ways such as negotiating with service providers to offer extended warranties on items like data projectors (up to 5 years) and by providing quicker turnaround times on repairs and warranty claims.
Schools are supported on an on-going basis both technically and with training. The Bridgit communication system provides online and remote support to teachers in their classrooms. Interchanging of resources with educators across the globe is easy and encouraged. Educational specialists ensure that the technological solutions are supported by relevant and exciting software packages to enhance the curriculum delivery process.
Editmicro has also been a leader in finding and providing specially adapted hardware and software for Learners with Special Educational Needs. This is also done throughout South Africa.
We are a proud member of the South African Braille Authority (SABA).
